Dangerous Goods Disclaimer

Part 1: Important Safety & Usage Guidelines
Attention: It is very important that you read this disclaimer carefully and thoroughly before any use of pyrotechnics is attempted. Pyrotechnics, P2 Pyrotechnics, and blank firing products are not toys, they should be treated with care and used in a safe and adequate manner. What follows are important safety and usage instructions about your product and use thereof. If at any point you are in any doubt about the safe use, storage or applications of your product seek advice directly from us before use.

General Guidance:
• No pyrotechnic, explosive, or blank firing device is permitted to be purchased by (or attempted to be purchased by) anyone under the age of 18.
• No pyrotechnic, explosive, or blank firing device should be used by (i.e. given to) anyone under the age of 18
• No pyrotechnic, explosive, or blank firing device will be exported outside of the UK
• No pyrotechnic, explosive, or blank firing device will be sold to anyone who has not, in advance of any purchase, signed and returned to us a copy of this agreement and disclaimer which will be held on file in accordance with Data Protection regulations for any future pyrotechnic purchases you make with us.
• No pyrotechnic, explosive, or blank firing devices we sell are for recreational purposes only, specifically for use in airsoft wargames at recognized and professional venues.
• We recommend wearing protective clothing including gloves, eye protection, and ear protection before and during handling these products.

• Our Products are hygroscopic and will not work properly if not stored in the correct manner i.e. In damp locations, Sheds, etc, always keep them clean and dry. No warranty can be given if the products fail to work as intended due to moisture or improper storage.

Storage & Transportation:
• Store carefully, ensuring that the striker cap is properly secured to the body of the unit and cannot be removed or dislodged. We recommend storing in a strong, fireproof, metal container with only one pyrotechnic in each compartment.
• Never transport or carry these products in pockets.
• Never carry a ‘friction or ignitable pyrotechnic with the striker cap loose in the same pouch or container. Always carry with the striker firmly attached until ready for immediate use. Take great care that the striker cap is always protected. You should therefore choose a location that will not be crushed or impacted. Keep away from your head area at all times. Frequently check that the striker is undamaged.
• Never carry an electric pyrotechnic in the same pouch as the ignition source i.e., the battery or another electrical source. Always carry them both safely and separately.
• At all times keep away from high temperatures and away from direct sunlight.
• At all times keep away from children and minors, old persons, and persons who are unaware of the application of the product.
• For electrically ignited products, keep away from sources of electricity. Ensure you have discharged yourself and your equipment of any static electricity before handling electrical devices.
• Never use or carry any pyrotechnic product in a public place. Never use near a public place or use/carry in sight of a public place.

Blank Firing / Cold Burn / No Flame Pyrotechnics:
• Only use approved blank rounds.
• Never use any blank round over 9mm.
• Never use 12g (12-gauge shotgun) rounds.
• For the blank firing grenade, ensure the grenade is properly primed and the safety pin is securely fitted, and the top of the grenade handle is being held against the body of the grenade thus preventing the grenade handle from triggering the firing pin before inserting any blank round.
• After priming, we recommend allowing a minimum amount of 30 seconds before loading a round into the top of the grenade, using the adaptor supplied.
• Ensure the top of the grenade is securely screwed onto the body of the grenade, using the correct adaptor supplied.
• Always hold handle into/against grenade body prior to pulling the pin. When the pin is pulled from the grenade, throw away instantly. Only release the handle on the grenade as it is leaving your hand in a throw.
• Always throw underarm, in a controlled manner.
• Never throw at, or near, another person or animal. Never throw indiscriminately. Choose your target area wisely and safely, having first surveyed the intended area to ensure it is not combustible.
• We recommend wearing protective clothing including gloves, eye protection and ear protection before and during handling these products.

Electrical Pyrotechnics:
• Keep away from sources of electricity. Ensure you are discharged before handling these products.
• Electrical pyrotechnics do not require a high amount of voltage to detonate. They should therefore be handled individually and always kept away from any electrical source or other powered devices.
• Electrical pyrotechnics will detonate instantly when an electric current is passed through the wires on the device.
• Set up your device in a safe, properly signed area, where persons unaware cannot accidentally enter a ‘danger zone’.
• Never set up or use any device near people, animals, or property. Never use in or near a public place.
• Always use an extension cable consisting of two wires with any electrical pyrotechnic. This ensures a safe distance can be achieved before any detonation is performed.
• Always connect the power source last. Connect from the pyrotechnic device backwards – ensuring that you are well away from the device before the extension wire is connected to anything else in the chain.
• We recommend wearing protective clothing including gloves, eye protection and ear protection before and during handling these products.

Hot Burn Ignition Pyrotechnics:
• Never carry the striker cap lose in the same pouch or pocket as the ignitable device.
• Keep away from sources of high heat and direct sunlight.
• Never operate around flammable chemicals, liquids or materials including buildings.
• Never return to any device that has been ignited or attempted to be ignited and then thrown, even if it shows no signs that it is ignited and indeed about to explode. Inform your event’s organiser should this situation occur.
• Never use any device near people, animals, or property. Never use in or near a public place. Ensure you have the site operator’s permission to use any pyrotechnic beforehand.
• Always throw underarm, in a controlled manner.
• Never throw at another person or animal. Never throw indiscriminately.
• For most “strikeable/ignitable” devices, the device is triggered in the same way as a match. When you are ready to use rotate and twist the “striker cap” from the top of the device holding each part firmly in each hand. Turn the striker cap so that the top becomes the matchbox and the igniter that was protected under the cap is now the matchstick. To strike, press the tip of the igniter firmly onto the striker cap, and strike away from you across the cap.
• The device will begin to spark, and a small amount of smoke will be omitted. Throw away immediately to a safe location and ensure you are at a safe distance from the device.
• When using smoke products, ensure that you have confirmed there are no players with a medical condition (such as asthma) in the vicinity who are likely to develop a problem breathing in under such conditions. Never stay in a smoke-filled environment or prevent others from leaving a similar environment.
• We recommend wearing protective clothing including gloves, eye protection and ear protection before and during handling these products.
• A full demonstration or further advice that is product-specific is available on request. If in any doubt… ask!
